Hotel reservations:

  • See hotel registration form for room prices. Reservations are available only with this form.
  • Room reservations need to be paid in advance. Dinner reservations can also be paid upon arrival at the hotel.
  • If you want to reserve a double room and haven’t got a roommate, we suggest you find one via your personal connections or via the Facebook group we’ve created for the participants of this event (similar to the one we had in 2017).
  • The Facebook group can also be used for carpool requests etc.

  • Double room/single use € 84,00 per night
  • Double room/double use € 94,00 per night
    • Supplement luxury room € 20,00 per night
    • Room rate includes breakfast and excludes € 2,00 per person per night city tax.


The workshop registration includes coffee, tea and lovely buffet lunch each day. Please see Hotel Registration form for dinner buffet options. Breakfast is included with hotel room reservations.

Travel by car:

Travel by public transport:

From Nijmegen Central Station, you can take a bus or a taxi to the hotel.
Bus 8 departs every 30 minutes from platform F. It’s a 20 minute bus ride to the stop ‘Prins Alexanderlaan’ in Berg and Dal, and then a 3 minute walk to the hotel.

Nijmegen Central Station offers regular intercity train services from most major cities in the Netherlands. You can plan your trip via (from within the Netherlands) or (for international trains)
German ICE trains stop for example at nearby Arnhem Central Station, from where it is only a short train ride to Nijmegen Central Station.

From Schiphol International Airport (Amsterdam):

Public transport:

First travel by train to Nijmegen Central Station. There are four Intercity train services an hour from Schiphol Airport to Nijmegen. Two of these are direct, the other two include a transfer on Utrecht Central Station. Tickets can be bought from the vending machines at Schiphol Airport. A one way ticket, 2nd class, no discount, costs € 20,80.
From Nijmegen Central Station, you can either take bus 8 (see above) or a taxi to the hotel.
The complete journey from Schiphol Airport to Parkhotel Val Monte takes 2 to 2,5 hours, when done by public transport (train and bus).

Car rental:

Driving distance to the hotel is approximately 130 kilometers, 1,5 hours, one way. The hotel offers free parking.

From Düsseldorf International Airport (Germany):

Public transport:

First travel to Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof by S-bahn. From Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof you can take an ICE train service to Arnhem Central station in the Netherlands.
From Arnhem Central Station, you will take a Dutch train to Nijmegen Central Station. And from Nijmegen you can either take a taxi or bus 8 to the hotel (see above).
Travel time from the airport to the hotel: approximately 3 to 3,5 hours.

Car rental:

Driving distance approximately 105 kilometers or 1 hour and 15 minutes, one way. The hotel offers free parking.

Other airports:

For European flights, you may also want to consider smaller airports like:
Eindhoven (approx. 75 kilometers driving distance or 2,5 hours by public transport)
Rotterdam-the Hague (approx. 130 kilometers driving distance or 3 hours by public transport)
Maastricht (approx. 130 kilometers driving distance or 3 hours by public transport).
